Is a partner of Plett and Associates. She earned her Certified General Accountant designation in 2000 after graduating from Kwantlen College with the President’s Outstanding Graduate award in 1998. She has worked in public practice for both large international firms and mid–size local firms in a variety of accounting, taxation and consulting capacities as well as working as assistant controller and cost accountant with a manufacturing company. She understands both the roles and pressures of internal and external accountants and how to best work together to achieve common objectives.
She grew up in the Surrey area and is involved in many non-profit and community sports associations. Her passions include supporting her sons and husband in their endeavours, as well as camping, fishing, paintball, and whatever activities her sons have taken up. She has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and held the Canada Champ title for her divisions in 2009 & 2010 for forms, weapons and sparring.
Lori Allwood, CPA, CGA, BACcS is a partner with Plett and Associates CPAs, a boutique consulting and accounting firm located in South Surrey. She completed her Certified General Accountant designation in 1995. Lori has worked in industry, government and public practice during her career. She was in industry for more than 15 years providing guidance to companies at the senior management level as a Senior Accountant, Controller and CFO before transferring to public practise. Since 2010 Lori has worked in public practise assisting personal, corporate and trust clients in various areas of accounting, taxation & consulting.
She began her public practise first as a sole practitioner and then joined Plett and Associates as a partner. Lori has a special interest in assisting small business clients with their accounting and tax obligations. As a small business owner who started her firm from scratch, she knows what its like to 'go it alone and do everything yourself'. She believes education, planning, and hiring the right people to help you can avert costly mistakes and assist you in doing what you do best. Lori lives in South Surrey with her husband and two adopted daughters. She loves hiking, biking, kayaking and skiing locally. She believes in service and continues to volunteer in the community. She also currently serves on the Chartered Professional Accountants Public Practise Review Committee. Lori would love to help you understand your numbers. is a junior accountant who has been with Plett and Associates since 2019. She does book-keeping and prepares working papers for our clients. She has worked in the accounting field since 2015. She earned her Bachelors of Commerce from Guru Nanak Dev University in India. She completed her diploma in Business Administration at Langara College and is currently pursuing her Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation and working towards her CPA. Her goal is to become a CPA and serve the community.
She grew up in India and came to Canada as an international student. She loves traveling, reading, listening to music, watching movies, hiking, spending time with family and friends. She also volunteers at her Sikh temple.
is a senior accountant of Plett and Associates since 2016. She has spent 16 years in public practice and worked with many corporate and individual clients providing financial, consulting and tax planning solutions in industries such as construction, real estate, investments, manufacturing, entertainment, not-for-profit, retail etc. She was drawn to the public accounting field by the opportunity to work with a variety of business owners and learn about their business operations and experiences. The most rewarding part of Kristi’s career is the opportunity to being able to help these clients solve their complex tax problems. She is committed to provide outstanding professional service to all business and individuals with financial and taxation issues.
In addition to her CPA and CGA designations, she holds an Honors Bachelors of Commerce degree from Laurentian University.
Growing up in Hungary, Europe, she had the opportunity to visit many European countries and fell in love with the European culture and history. She continues to enjoy travelling, volunteering at her local church, reading, hiking, kayaking and watching sports. Having three children, her life sometimes gets extremely busy but she challenges herself to balance work and personal life effectively.
is usually the first person our clients speak with when they call our office or come through our doors. She has completed an administrative certificate course. She has previously worked as a tutor in French, math and English. She grew up in Burnaby and New Westminster and has spend the last 6 years living in BC's interior. She enjoys practicing her skills in French, reading, sewing and art.
